Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata arrived at Changi International Airport in Singapore today ahead of linking up with his new teammates next week in Singapore.
The 24-year-old who made the trip after sealing his transfer to Chelsea from Real Madrid on Friday was greeted by hundreds of fans and television cameras as he made his way through the airport terminal.
Morata became Chelsea’s most expensive player after his £58 million transfer from Real Madrid which could rise to over £70 million if certain performance clauses are met.
Morata could make his unofficial Chelsea debut next week in Chelsea’s friendly fixtures against Bayern Munich or Inter Milan in Singapore.
