Chelsea have agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sign Alvaro Morata as Chelsea seek a top striker to replace Diego Costa who has been told that he can leave the club.
Chelsea missed out on signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton after Manchester United hijacked the deal from Chelsea and Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague claims Antonio Conte always wanted Alvaro Morata over Romelu Lukaku
He said: “Morata was Conte’s choice.
“Chelsea wanted Lukaku but Conte was worried by his lack of work off the ball.”

Morata will now be Chelsea’s fourth signing after Chelsea have signed Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayako this summer.
