Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has for the first time spoken about Alvaro Morata. The 24-year-old landed in London yesterday to have his medical after Chelsea and Real Madrid have agreed a fee for the Spain international.

Conte who signed Morata for Juventus before leaving the job to be the coach of the Italian national team will now reunite with the Spaniard at Stamford Bridge.

Conte speaking about the signing said: “I think for sure he is good signing for us. Morata is a young player who has a lot of experience. He has played with Real Madrid and Juventus and has a lot of experience for the league and also in the Champions League.”

Chelsea have agreed to sign the 24-year-old from Real Madrid after missing out on Romelu Lukaku. It’s believed that Morata was Conte’s first choice all along to replace Diego Costa.
