Chelsea lost to Bayern Munich during Chelsea’s pre-season tour of Asia, as Antonio Conte’s men lost 3-2 to Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich.
Chelsea fans were unhappy with the cheap goal Courtois conceded against Bayern with Rafinha beating the Belgian from a distance.
Speaking about the goal, Courtois said: “When you are trying to push forward you leave space at the back and there were a few good saves so I was pleased.
“Against Bayern it was a bit frustrating, I was a bit annoyed because I felt I could have done better with Rafinha’s goal but I’ve been working hard in training all week so for me personally it was good and I feel I’m ready for the season.”
He also revealed that the players are now fit after the games in Asia, as we head into the new season.
Courtois added: “Some players like Antonio Rudiger only joined recently and he was away at the Confederations Cup with Germany,’ added Courtois. ‘I don’t think he lost a lot of fitness but he might need a little bit more work, we will all be ready for the season though.”
