One bad move by Kenedy could cost the youngster his Chelsea career and further cause some problems for the Blues.
Already, Chelsea’s relation with China has been affected by his singular mistake and the Chinese market is one the club isn’t ready to lose. Asia is a buzzing market in the football world and it explains why clubs now head to the Far East for pre-season games.
Kenedy’s posts on social media have put the club in bad light and now the FA have asked Chelsea for Kenedy’s explanation of the offensive social media posts he made, as the governing body starts their investigation.
Kenedy may yet face further trouble for his social media posts. The FA have written to Chelsea to request an explanation from the player.
Conte and Chelsea have apologised for the mistakes of the youngster after he posted disparaging pictures and messages, in Portuguese, on Instagram, one roughly translated as “f*** China” and another of a sleeping security guard with the caption: “Wake up China, you idiot.”
Kenedy has been sent packing from Chelsea’s team since the incident.
