Juventus left-back Alex Sandro was heading towards a move to Stamford Bridge but it seems that move has hit a brick wall as Chelsea have failed with a £61.2m offer to land the left-back.
Reports from Italy suggest the deal is now off and Sky Sport Italia claim that the bid, which does not include add-ons, is now the ‘last official offer’ from the Premier League champions.
Juventus are said to have been frustrating Chelsea by constantly raising the Brazilian’s asking price this summer and now appear set on keeping him in Turin.
Reports claim the Serie A champions are reluctant to sell any more key players after allowing Leonardo Bonucci to join AC Milan on Friday and will now keep Sandro.
This means Chelsea will have to look elsewhere for competition for Marcos Alonso in the left wing-back role.
