Chelsea left wing-back Marcos Alonso won the hearts of many Chelsea fans last season with his displays for the Blues last season.

In an interview with Chelsea’s official website, Alonso revealed the toughest opponent he faced last season, his favourite goal and more.

When asked about his best team performance, Alonso said: “Maybe Everton at home. It was one of our best games, soon after we had changed the system and it was the moment it really clicked.”

When asked about his favourite goal, Alonso said: “It has to be the free-kick I scored against Bournemouth when we won 3-1.”

When asked about his toughest opponent, Alonso said: “I would have to say both games against West Brom were really tough. They defended well and in both games we were able to win but we scored in the last 10 or 15 minutes.”

When asked about his favourite memory, Alonso said: “My brace against Leicester.”

When asked about his best atmosphere, Alonso said: “I would have to say the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham at Wembley, the atmosphere that day was amazing.”
