Finally, after much negotiation, Chelsea have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for their 24-year-old striker Alvaro Morata.
The deal is reportedly worth £60m although certain clauses may see it rise.
Morata is expected to be in London tomorrow (Thursday) for his medicals and complete the deal.
Morata told Marca: “I am very happy, God willing, tomorrow I will be at Chelsea, a club that has always loved me.
“I’m not disappointed, for nothing, I’ve won four titles here, but now I only think of putting on the Chelsea shirt.”
Morata also sent a message to Real fans and is thankful for all of their support during his stay at the Bernabeu.
He added: “Thank you very much to all the Madridistas who have supported me once more, I will always wish the best to Madrid.
“I am happy to have shared team with these team-mates, the last time I wore this shirt was in Cibeles.”
Morata will become Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer, as he’d join Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayako as the players to join the Blues for next season.
