Chelsea and Real Madrid have agreed a fee for Spain international Alvaro Morata. The 24-year-old will be in London for his medical on Thursday and all that’s left is for the 24-year-old to do his medical and put pen to paper.
Chelsea already have a large Spanish contingent that will make Morata feel at home and he has revealed that he has spoken to country teammate Cesar Azpilicueta and former Blue Fernando Torres.
He told AS: “Yes, I have spoken with Azpilicueta. And also with Fernando Torres, who has told me he’ll give me a hand with whatever I need.”
With Chelsea playing in the Champions League next season, Morata surprisingly revealed that he’d love both sides to meet.
He said: “I hope [they meet], that would mean that both us and them are progressing in the Champions League. But I don’t want to think about it. Now all I am thinking about is getting to London.”
