Alvaro Morata was due for a move to Manchester United but the move seems to be off now as Manchester United have backed out of the deal having had their £75m bid for Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku accepted.
Morata was rumoured to be bound to the City of Manchester, but despite wanting a move away from the Bernabeu, Morata is now going to have to bide his time as his United move has been dashed.
The 24-year-old will now see if Chelsea make a move in wake of Lukaku’s imminent switch to Jose Mourinho’s side.
Morata will join Real Madrid ahead of the pre-season and his agent has revealed that all they’d do is keep fighting.
“We must keep fighting, as there’s no alternative,” is the comment coming from Morata’s camp, according to Spanish publication Marca.
Morata couldn’t break through the Real Madrid first team despite having impressed at Juventus the previous season.
