Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda might finally experience his breakthrough season at Chelsea as he has joined the Chelsea team on pre-season tour of Asia.
According to reports, Antonio Conte has promised Musonda, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Real Betis, that he’d be given an opportunity to prove himself next season.
The 20-year-old is yet to make his first-team appearance for Chelsea but is highly rated by staffs at the club.
The club agreed a compensation package with Anderlecht to bring in Musonda and his two brothers to the club in 2012, aged 16.
He was sent on a 2-year loan spell to Spanish side Real Betis and the youngster impressed before his loan spell at Betis was short last season, as Musonda became unhappy at a lack of playing time under former Blue Gus Poyet.
Musonda has been given Hazard’s former jersey number, 17, and now has the chance to show what he’s made of. The Belgium international definitely has the skills like Hazard and only time will tell just how far he can go.
I hope Musonda gets a chance in our first team this year, would be great in rotation with Eden, Pedro and Willian💪🔵 pic.twitter.com/mYPT6T1dAo
