Chelsea and Arsenal have a huge domestic rivalry as both clubs fight for the right to be the king of London.
The two teams faced each other thrice last season and will meet again before the start of the season in the Community Shield game at Wembley. However, before that game, they will both feature in a friendly tour in Beijing.
Thibaut Courtois, Willian and Cesar Azpilicueta talked to the official Chelsea website about the rivalry with Arsenal.
Courtois: If it is against an English team, even if it is in pre-season, it is a game you want to win. Pre-season is mostly to get in shape, to work well and to do what the manager asks, and sometimes you play those games being tired because you worked hard maybe the day before, so it is not really to measure how strong we are already. They are nice games and Arsenal is a really good opponent to play against.
Azpilicueta: The rivalry is always the same wherever we play each other, even in pre-season. It is a friendly game but we must take it as preparation for the official games we have coming up after that.
Willian: I played in Beijing and Singapore with the national team in 2014, so I have good memories of those places. I think it will be an amazing game to play Arsenal in Beijing – a London derby in China!
