The breaking news from yesterday is that Chelsea and Real Madrid have finally agreed a fee for Alvaro Morata – a striker that was wanted by three European giants – AC Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea. Obviously, it is the Blues who have won the race for his signature.
The 24-year-old confirmed yesterday that he will be at Chelsea today (Thursday) to seal the deal.
Morata told Marca: “I am very happy, God willing, tomorrow I will be at Chelsea, a club that has always loved me.
“I’m not disappointed, for nothing, I’ve won four titles here, but now I only think of putting on the Chelsea shirt.”
So what time will Morata arrive London?
Morata is expected to land in London at 10:15am (UK time) ahead of his move to Chelsea.
The would-be Chelsea striker boarded a plane in Los Angeles last night after saying goodbye to his Real Madrid team-mates.
And he will due at Heathrow Airport this morning before heading to west London for a medical.
The deal is expected to be confirmed today.
