Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has recently emerged as a target for Chelsea with the Blues hierarchy believing the Argentine could be open to leaving City as Gabriel Jesus establishes himself as their main striker.
A deal for Sergio Aguero remains unlikely however after a report on Daily Mail revealed Manchester City won’t sell the striker to Chelsea despite the striker not been in favour under Pep Guardiola.
The 29-year-old was part of the Manchester City squad that travelled to USA on Monday and Aguero and his agent have maintained publicly they have a good relationship with Pep Guardiola.
Aguero is a fans’ favourite at the Etihad Stadium and Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarek maintains they do not want to sell the striker.
When asked about Aguero’s future earlier in the summer, Al Mubarak said: “I’ve read a lot of the speculation on this and it’s ridiculous.
“Sergio Aguero is one of the best players in the world. We are a team that aspires to win every competition we compete in.
“Having Sergio Aguero as part of the squad is an absolute must. It has never been in doubt.”
With Diego Costa set to leave Chelsea this summer, the big question among Chelsea fans is “who would replace Costa?”
