Antonio Rudiger might not have made his official debut for Chelsea, but the 24-year-old already has a nickname.
The Germany international has been nicknamed Rudy by his new team-mates ahead of the new season.
Rudy will be looking to break through the Chelsea defence with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte already having a core structure from last season – Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta were the three center halves that kept things tight at the back as Chelsea went on to win the league with the Blues having the best defence in the league, keeping more clean sheets than Tottenham.
Conte showed interest in the Germany international last summer but he suffered a knee injury which ruled him out of Germany’s Euro 2016 campaign.
He shone in the Confederations Cup with Germany this summer and has since completed a £34 million move from Roma.
