Rumours linking Chelsea with Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been getting stronger since Romelu Lukaku opted to join Manchester United.
Chinese club Tianjin Quanjin were reportedly leading the race to sign the 28-year-old striker but a new report on Daily Mail claims Tianjin Quanjin are ready to pull out of a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid concerns he wants to join Chelsea.
Borussia Dortmund insist they haven’t received any formal bid for the striker but intermediaries are understood to have offered Chelsea the chance to sign him for £70 million.
Aubameyang wants to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer after scoring 31 goals in 32 league appearances for Dortmund last season and Dortmund have given his agents until July 26 to find a new club or he would be stopped from leaving.
With Diego Costa set to leave Chelsea this summer, signing a striker like Aubameyang will be a step in the right direction as the Gabon international is among the best strikers in the world.
Come on Mr. Emenalo, get this deal done.
