Swansea already have Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham on board, and now Swansea boss Paul Clement wants to give Nathaniel Chalobah first-team football.
Clement knows the 22-year-old from his time as youth coach and first-team coach at Stamford Bridge and wants to use his Chelsea connections to complete a stunning transfer double of two highly-rated Chelsea academy products.
Leicester City and Watford want Chalobah, but Clement believes he can sign the 22-year-old for the Swans.
Chalobah is entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is in talks over a new deal, as Chelsea don’t want to lose the young midfielder. But Chalobah wants more game time and with offers coming in from other clubs since his stunning performances at this summer’s U21 European Championship, Chalobah can only dream of a better future.
Chalobah made 15 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season. Yet just one of them was a start in the Premier League.
