Chelsea ended the 2016/17 campaign as champions of England, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing as the Blues had to overcome so many obstacles.
For Willian, Tottenham and Manchester City were two of those teams that were the toughest for Chelsea last season, and it’s no coincidence that they came second and third respectively.
Willian told the official Chelsea website: “Matic’s against Tottenham in the FA Cup, that was an amazing goal. I also scored a good free-kick in that game as well but Nemanja’s goal was brilliant.”
The Brazilian also revealed his two best moments from last season. He told the official Chelsea website: “I have two. The first would be West Brom away because we won the league there. My dad came over to watch the game as well which was very nice. He comes to some games and it was lovely to have him there for a big moment.
“The second would be Man City away because it was just a few days after the Chapecoense plane crash. It was very emotional and when I scored I paid tribute to the victims.”
