Willian scored a hatrick in Chelsea’s 8-2 win against Fulham. The Brazilian had to thank teammate Michy Batshuayi who helped him assist two of the goals.
Willian scored the first two goals of the game and also hopes to improve on the 12 goals he scored for Chelsea last season.
He told the official Chelsea website: “I say thank you to Michy who passed to me very well for the first two goals against Fulham. I felt in good touch and I hope more goals come for me this season. I will try to beat the number I scored last season.”
Willian and the rest of the team will jet off to China for the first leg of our Asian pre-season tour and Willian says he is ready for the pre-season action to come as Chelsea will play some of Europe’s best.
He told the official Chelsea website: “It will be good, it’s the next step for us. We have some important training to do and games out there before the beginning of the season.
“We have to continue preparing well and we go there to try and win our games, starting with the Arsenal one in Beijing.”
Chelsea will play Arsenal on Tuesday and will also face other European giants like Inter Milan and Bayern Munich in the course of the pre-season.
