Antonio Rudiger joined Chelsea from Roma this summer and the 24-year-old Germany international revealed he is happy with the improvements Chelsea have made defensively since our 3-2 loss to Burnley on the opening weekend of the new season.
“Of course, because in the first game at home we conceded three goals and we were not happy with this,” Rudiger told Chelsea TV.
“We improved against Tottenham and we were unlucky that Michy Batshuayi scored an own-goal, but he took responsibility, and against Everton, with the clean sheet, everyone is happy. We took the three points and this is very important.
“If you look at the [league] table now it is good. It was a pity we lost the first match but now we did good and won our last two matches and we have to continue after international duty like this, because Everton was a really good game.”
