Belgium international Michy Batshuayi started the season opener for Chelsea against Burnley and he lasted on the pitch for 60 minutes without any telling contribution.
The 23-year-old’s performance was poor, his touch was heavy, his ball control was terrible and his holdup play was inexistent. However, Batshuayi has chosen not to hide but come out and apologise for his poor game, while also revealing that he has a lot to work on.
Batshuayi posted on Twitter: “Terrible performance today & a lot of things to work on, I won’t hide… but it’s just day one & the journey to the title is long 💪”
