Chelsea defender Matt Miazga joined Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem for a season-long loan this summer after an impressive loan spell with the club last season.
Miazga revealed he was happy to return to Vitesse because it offers him continuity instead of changing clubs every summer.
“Because I’m from the United States, I need even more of a good European base, playing a lot of matches, gaining experience. And by reaching the Europa League, we’re at a higher level,” Miazga said.
“Of course there were opportunities at other clubs, but Vitesse was always in the picture,” explained Miazga. “It’s also important to me not to become a club hopper. Playing everywhere, starting a summer every summer, I do not want to do that.
“With this choice, I have continuity.”
