Chelsea defeated Tottenham 2-1 away from home on Sunday despite Conte fielding a depleted side.

Chelsea were written off for that game, but the team showed character to get all three points at the Wembley Stadium, after losing the opening fixture at home to Burnley.

“Chelsea showed great character on Sunday,” Giggs wrote for Sky Sports.

“I think Antonio Conte would like a couple more players to give the team a boost but they’ve silenced a lot of critics with that performance.

“To go away from home, even if it was at Wembley, with players making their first Premier League starts, without Eden Hazard and be up against it for 90 minutes, it was a huge result for them.”
