Chelsea have paid tribute to Julian Cadman, a 7-year-old Chelsea faithful who lost his life in last week’s terrorist attack in Barcelona.
The club sent its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the young Blues fan after such a devastating tragedy.
A tribute appeared on the big screen shortly before kick-off in yesterday’s game against Everton. The players also wore black armbands during last week’s match against Tottenham in honour of all those affected by the attack in the Las Ramblas area of the city in which 13 people were killed, with others suffering serious injuries, including Julian’s mother Jom.
Three members of the Cadman family, Bill, George and Debbie, who are cousins of Andrew, were guests of the club at yesterday’s game.
“Andrew always had dreams of one day sitting at Stamford Bridge with his only child,” said Julian’s uncle Michael. “After the events of last Thursday in Barcelona, Andrew lost the opportunity to share this moment, and Julian will not have the opportunity to experience the excitement of a football match.”
