Just six days after Pedro was sent off during Chelsea’s Community Shield defeat to Arsenal, two Chelsea players (Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas) were sent off during Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has admitted the frequent red cards being given to Chelsea could force the Blues to adopt “10-man” tactics.

“We finished twice with 10 men and we must start studying a new formation with 10 players – or nine,” Conte said.

“When it happens with this regularity, you must be worried.”
