With Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill suspended, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte opted to play David Luiz in midfield alongside N’Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Conte revealed after the game that he was impressed with Luiz performance in midfield against Tottenham.

“David played very well. It was an amazing performance from David,” Conte said.

“He played with great experience and personality. He was a really important reference for the other players.”
