Chelsea youngster Kenedy was close to signing for Newcastle on a loan deal but the deal has been called off as the squad seems so thin at the moment.
Many players have left the club either on loan or outright sale this summer and only four players have been signed. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen on keeping hold of Kenedy until Chelsea sign enough players that will help the club fight in all four competitions.
When asked about the Kenedy situation, he told the media: “My plan is the plan of the club. In this case for now it’s important to wait because we are in the transfer market to try and improve our squad.
“If we are in the transfer market it means that we need players.”
