The football world was shocked when Chelsea lost their opening game of the season, as the Blues suffered a 3-2 home loss to Burnley and were even 3-0 down at half-time.
However, Chelsea now look a different side and have conjured two wins against two of the league’s biggest sides since the defeat to Burnley.
Antonio Conte was asked by a reporter during his post-match press conference of the Everton game: The team looked so fast, fierce and like favourites again compared to the first half against Burnley, how is there such a difference in two weeks?
The Chelsea boss answered: “Honestly I think we started the game against Burnley in the right way and then don’t forget after only 14 minutes there was a red card for Cahill.
“And I think in that moment in 30 minutes we lost our composure, we lost our heads and they scored three goals.
“Then in the second half with ten men we dominated the game with possession with shots, we scored two goals.
“Against Burnley I saw a lot of positivity but I think that game helped us to understand that this season will be very very difficult and we have to have always a great consideration and a great focus to start the game in the right way.
“Otherwise, anything can happen.”
