Diego Costa’s lawyer, Ricardo Cardoso, has threatened Chelsea with a formal transfer request and legal action for the handling of Costa’s situation this summer.
“We are going to use all possible legal mechanisms to hold Chelsea responsible for their behaviour, making possible the departure of Diego Costa,” Cardoso said as quoted on Daily Mail.
Conte has reacted to the saying of Costa’s lawyer. The Chelsea boss said: “Again I have to repeat the same thing, the situation is clear for me that the player, agent and the club knew very well the future of the player in the summer. I don’t understand why a lawyer is getting involved,” Conte said.
When asked if the Diego Costa incident is distracting the team, Conte said “no”.
