Chelsea won Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday despite missing several players and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte believes the win sent a good message to those doubting Chelsea’s title credentials.

“I think we sent a really good message,” Conte said when asked if the win against Tottenham sent a message to doubters.

“In that emergency difficult situation we were able to win against a really strong team like Tottenham.

“Don’t forget last season after 13 wins in a row we lost 2-0 against Spurs, this season we won 2-1 – and it’s normal to suffer when you play this type of team.

“We must be very happy for this spirit and desire we showed.”
