Chelsea striker Diego Costa has revealed that he has boycotted Chelsea’s order to train with the reserve team after being denied access to train with the senior team.
The 28-year-old refused to train with the Chelsea reserves and instead went home to his native Brazil. Despite being fined by the club, Costa has revealed that he’s ready to be fined for one year and that the only club he’s willing to go to is Atletico Madrid.
“I am open to being a year in Brazil without playing, even if Chelsea fine me for a year and don’t pay me,” he told the Daily Mail.
“I’ll come back stronger. If I was in the wrong, I’d go back now and do as they say.
“My desire is to go to Atletico. I’ve spoken to Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia. I said, ‘If the manager doesn’t want me, I want to go to Atletico Madrid’.
“I have rejected other offers. They want to sell me to China or other teams. If I’m off, I’m going to the club I want to go to – not the club that’s paying the most.”
