Diego Costa has been banished from the Chelsea team and the 28-year-old has been told by Antonio Conte that he won’t be needed for this season.

It all started from a text message that caused the Chelsea manager to be upset with Costa who told him that he won’t be needed at the club.

Costa has however revealed that he’s being missed by his teammates at Chelsea while revealing that the likes of Willian, Cesc Fabregas and David Luiz miss him the most.

He told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview: “You know that the manager doesn’t want me.

“I am waiting for Chelsea to set me free. I didn’t want to leave. I was happy. When the manager does not want you, you have to go.

“If you were to ask all my team-mates, they’d say the same. They send messages saying “I miss you” and that they love me.

“I am always talking with the boys — particularly Cesc Fabregas, David Luiz and Willian. We have banter over WhatsApp.

“They ask how I am. They really love me for the person I am. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be saying they miss me and love me.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
