Eden Hazard had been out injured since the end of last season, after picking up an injury in June during training while on international duty with Belgium.

But the 26-year-old has stepped up his rehabilitation by featuring in the development squad’s team that lost to Everton. He has also been selected in Roberto Martinez’s squad for Belgium’s World Cup qualifiers against Gibraltar and Greece.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed that he’s happy that his fellow Belgian is back but has warned that he will have to fight for his shirt. Already, Pedro and Willian have started the season in brilliant form.

“It will be very good, we miss a player like Eden but I think Pedro and Willian did very well and started the season very well,” Courtois told Sky Sports.

“It will be hard for him as well to come back into the team. Obviously Eden is someone who has done some amazing things for us.

“We’re building a strong team at Chelsea and showed it last season – hopefully we can do the same this year.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
