Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has reportedly told Leicester City that he wants to move to Chelsea this summer according to a report on IB Times.

Chelsea were reportedly interested in signing Drinkwater last summer but couldn’t convince Leicester City to let go of two of their most prized recruits together, with only N’Golo Kante making the move to Stamford Bridge, where he won the title for the second year in succession.

After missing out on a move to Chelsea last summer, Drinkwater is keen on moving to Chelsea this summer and has urged Leicester City to let him join Chelsea.

With Nemanja Matic joining Manchester United and Nathaniel Chalobah joining Watford, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen on adding quality and quantity to Chelsea’s central midfield.

Leicester City are under no pressure to sell the 27-year-old midfielder who signed a new four-year deal last summer but with Drinkwater set to put in a transfer request, it will be difficult for the Foxes to convince him to stay.
