So far Tottenham have sold one player — Kyle Walker to Manchester City and bought none this transfer window.

Chelsea are seeking to strengthen the team ahead of the new season which starts this weekend, as there are still a number of positions to be filled.

Former Welsh striker Dean Saunders believes Tottenham duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli will be interested in a move to Chelsea and have told Antonio Conte to try and sign them.

Asked for who could strengthen the Chelsea squad, Saunders told TalkSport: “Dele Alli – and I think he would move to Chelsea.

“Then there’s Virgil van Dijk and Harry Kane.”

When TalkSport host Alan Brazil stopped Saunders and said: “No chance, Harry Kane is Spurs through and through,” Saunders opposed him and insisted Kane will be open to joining Chelsea.

He disagreed and said: “The two players [Alli and Kane] would improve any team.”

Saunders should know how difficult Spurs can be in selling key players. He’ve got to be kidding!
