Manchester United hijacked Chelsea’s deal to sign Romelu Lukaku this summer and it seems the Stamford Bridge club are ready to retaliate.
Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the French media, but it now seems as though Chelsea will challenge their rivals for the defender.
The 24-year-old has stated his desire to leave France this summer and PSG boss Unai Emery has confirmed Aurier has asked for a transfer.
The right-back has been targeted by Antonio Conte as the Italian seeks to find competition for wing-backs Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses.
Aurier is said to cost around £27 million but cannot enter the UK at the moment and was stopped from doing so last October when PSG travelled to London to face Arsenal in the Champions League.
Chelsea will have to appeal this if they must sign the strong and pacey defender.
Can Chelsea make this deal happen?
