Tiemoue Bakayoko made his Chelsea debut in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte revealed Bakayoko needs to adapt more to Chelsea’s style of football.
“It was the first game for Baka,” said Conte
“Don’t forget that at some point I was a player and sometimes the motivation makes you get over your physical condition,’ the Italian said after the win.
“[Playing in] a great stadium, [against] a great opponent [with] a great atmosphere, I think it’s good.
“He worked a lot in these last ten days, for sure I saw a lot of improvement – otherwise it was very difficult for me to start him.
“He had an amazing performance but for sure he can improve. He needs to adapt to our style of football.”
