Chelsea record signing Alvaro Morata scored and provided an assist as Chelsea won Everton 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte revealed he was pleased with the performance of the 24-year-old striker.
“Morata scored a really good goal and I’m pleased for him because it’s very important when you arrive at a new club and you are a striker for your confidence,” Conte said.
“He’s improving. It’s not easy for the striker and also for Bakayoko to arrive and adapt very quickly in our philosophy.
“I need the striker to stay in position, for us he’s a point of reference.
“You need a bit of time but for him, Rudiger, Bakayoko and also for Christensen they are young players and I repeat we are trying to build to improve this base.”
