Chelsea have been linked with Inter Milan’s Antonio Candreva and reports claim the Blues are edging closer to signing the 30-year-old Italy international.
Antonio Conte managed Candreva while as Italy national team coach and is keen on bringing the 30-year-old to Stamford Bridge to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.
Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has slammed the door shut on a move for the winger and has stated the club has no interest in selling him.
“Every now and then, things are going to be a bit special, especially in the situation of Candreva,” Ausilio told Mediaset Premium.
“He was bought last year, he is a national and he has never been put on the market and we never thought of giving it away.”
