Alvaro Morata was in good form against Everton on Sunday, scoring a goal and creating another as Chelsea defeated Ronald Koeman’s Everton 2-0 with ease – in a game that should have ended in a higher margin.
It’s two goals and two assists for Morata in three league games so far, and the 24-year-old is delighted at the impact he has had in the Premier League and for his new club Chelsea.
“I’m happy because I scored, I took an assist and the team won,” Morata said.
“It was an important win. At Stamford Bridge we need to win all the games or try to take the three points. We played well. It’s very difficult to play against Everton and the team did a very good job. We didn’t give opportunities to Everton.
“It was a perfect day and now when we come back from our national teams we will keep working for the next match.”
