Chelsea striker Loic Remy isn’t needed at the club anymore as he isn’t in the plans of Antonio Conte.
Cagliari have offered an escape route for the 30-year-old as the transfer window for this summer nears its end.
Cagliari are willing to sign Remy, but their proposal comes with a number of conditions.
They want Chelsea to release Remy from the final year of his contract in order for a deal to be done.
With this Cagliari won’t have to pay a dime for the forward. And they are prepared to offer him a salary of €2 million-a-year for his first season and then €1m through to 2020.
Remy’s stock has reduced because of how he’s been badly hit by injury.
He spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Crystal Palace, but injury restricted him to just eight appearances, as he suffered a long-term injury just before the start of the season.
