Antonio Conte’s interest in Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is said to be real, and some quarters even believe that Conte wanted to sign the Leicester City midfielder alongside N’Golo Kante last summer.
Drinkwater played a key role in helping Leicester to their shock 2015/16 Premier League title win, forging a formidable partnership with Kante.
And with Chelsea interested in the 27-year-old, academy product Lewis Baker might be the one to make way for Drinkwater.
The London Evening Standard report Drinkwater has been identified as a priority signing for Conte in the central midfield position, with another young midfielder set to leave on loan, as youngster Lewis Baker looks set to go out on loan.
Baker spent the last two seasons on loan at Vitesse Arnhem and had a successful two-year loan spell in the Dutch league.
