We have less than 48 hours to the close of the transfer window and Chelsea seem to be the most involved team in the transfer market at this point in time.
Wantaway striker Diego Costa hasn’t yet sorted out a new club after being told by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte that he isn’t needed at the club anymore.
Reports on Tuesday suggest that the Blues have lodged a £25m bid with the Toffees for Ross Barkley, and there are claims that a loan deal for Diego Costa could also be on the cards.
Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban has made it difficult for Costa to for his former club and the Chelsea striker has few options before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman hasn’t hidden his desire to sign Costa on loan.
When asked if Costa could join Everton this summer, he said: “I don’t know. I’ve said always there’s a warm welcome for every good player and he’s a good player.”
Barkley on the other hand has 11 months left on his contract and has a hamstring injury.
