Chelsea have been linked with a move for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, but nothing is yet to materialise from the move.
The 23-year-old is nursing a hamstring injury and has told the club that he wouldn’t sign a new contract.
Despite being injured and in the final year of his contract, Everton are still seeking a large transfer and this has prompted inaction from Chelsea and Tottenham who are also interested in the signing.
Sky Sports reporter Paul Gilmour claims Everton are yet to receive a sufficient bid for Barkley.
“Staying with Tottenham, what about Ross Barkley?” Gilmour said on Sky Sports.
“Tottenham, along with Chelsea, remain interested in the Everton player.
“Barkley has told Everton he will not sign a new contract.
“Ronald Koeman expects the England international to leave the club this summer.
“The matter is made more complicated of course by the hamstring injury suffered by the player.
“No clubs are yet to meet Everton’s valuation.”
