Chelsea striker Diego Costa is on a self-imposed exile from Chelsea after insisting he only wants to join La Liga club Atletico Madrid.

Costa is currently in his native Brazil and the striker believes Chelsea would be forced to sell him when he moves to his house in Spain.

“My destination is already set. I must return to Atletico Madrid next season. It turns out there is the impasse that Chelsea does not want to release me,” Costa said.

“But I believe this situation will be resolved on my return to Spain.”

Chelsea want £50 million for Diego Costa but according to a report on The Sun, Atletico Madrid are only willing to pay £30 million for the 28-year-old striker.
