Danny Rose has over the last two seasons proved himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League, as his pace, direct football and energy as well as attacking intent have been a cause for worry for opposition team.
However, the Tottenham star on Thursday revealed that he’s looking for a new challenge as he voiced his displeasure at Tottenham’s inability to win trophies, his salary and Spurs’ inactivity in the transfer market.
He told The Sun: “I am reaching my peak and probably only have one more big contract left in me.
“Time is running out and I do want to win trophies. I don’t want to play football for 15 years and not have one trophy or one medal.
“That’s not what I’m about. I’m not saying I want out but if something came to me that was concrete, I’d have no qualms about voicing my opinions to anyone at the football club.”
Reports claim an offer of £50 million will be enough to price away the full-back from Tottenham. And the Blues wouldn’t find it difficult to raise Rose’s weekly wages which stands at £65,000 per week.
Rose said about his wages: “I know my worth and I will make sure I get what I am worth.”
Chelsea are in search of wing-backs and Rose is one of the most experienced out there. Will Chelsea make a move for the 27-year-old after failed bids of more than £50 million for Juventus Alex Sandro?
