This season is definitely going to be another tough one and seems it will be tougher than last season as many of Chelsea’s rivals have strengthened significantly this summer.

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has warned Chelsea to sign more players if the Blues want to win the Premier League this season.

And Match of the Day pundit Shearer fears the champions might not replicate last season’s form with this thin squad.

He has advised that Chelsea could win the league again if the Blues could add two or three more signings.

Shearer told BBC Sport: “Chelsea, I do sense there’s something brewing there which isn’t nice.

“And they need to get in another two or three players, I think, to have a chance of retaining that title.

“City brought [Pep] Guardiola to the club to win the Premier League and the Champions League and he has to win something this year.

“Jose [Mourinho] will feel exactly the same at Manchester United.”
