Stoke City successfully completed the signing of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on loan last month, and it’s a signing that their goalkeeper Jack Butland is all too happy with.
The Stoke keeper said: “I think we’ve made some really big signings. Darren Fletcher coming in with his experience is really going to be huge for us this year. What he brings is invaluable.
“And Kurt Zouma is going to be a top player this year coming in on loan. I think he fits in perfectly with what we’re trying to do.
“He’s an animal as a defender, quick and strong. A great character who’s got composure as well.”
Zouma is still highly rated at Chelsea, but a long-term injury he suffered against Manchester United in February 2015 greatly hindered his development, which made the club send him out on loan to gain regular football.
He signed a six-year contract before joining Stoke City.
