Chelsea sold Nemanja Matic to Manchester United for £40 million, and while the amount was a good one for the club, it’s one of those deals that could haunt you back.

Matic played against Real Madrid in the Super Cup on Tuesday night and despite Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Madrid, the former Chelsea midfielder was the best player for United in the middle of the park.

While Chelsea fans have gone on to bemoan the loss of the Serbian, United fans seem excited to have landed the 28-year-old.

Only time will tell if Bakayako will be a better player for Chelsea than Matic was.
