Chelsea head into the new season as underdogs for the Premier League title and for Antonio Conte and his players it is Deja Vu repeating itself.
Manchester United and Manchester City have been tipped as the favourites for the league title with no one giving Chelsea a chance, and Conte has responded that the last two seasons have produced surprising champions in Leicester City and Chelsea.
The Chelsea boss said: “At the start of the season it is simple to say there are six top teams that should fight for the title. Then you know very well there are the surprise in the last two years, Leicester and Chelsea. I think two teams won the league and it was a great surprise.”
And for Conte, he believes the season will be a successful one if his players can give their all.
He said: “I think the most important thing for us is to try to do our best and in our work put 120 per cent every day. This is the most important thing for us.”
